From President Brenda's speech to the recipients of the National Honor Society; "...

Our goal this year was to immerse our club into the Cheyenne community and offer our hands through service.  We have collected blankets and pillows for the homeless, stuffed food bags, awarded two scholarships to local students, honored our veterans, administered flu shots, raised money to aid homeless high school students and "paid it forward" with random acts of kindness throughout the community.

Our club is designed to help those who want to be connected to a service organization fit it into their busy life style by meeting weekly on Tuesday’s at 6:45 a.m.  Additionally, each week we have enjoyed a guest speaker from local and regional communities sharing their knowledge.

Sunrise Rotary’s major service projects this year include flu shots to help Cheyenne stay healthy with proceeds helping eradicate polio, an annual community golf tournament to help numerous local non-profits and strengthen our club Foundation to help with future local needs, sponsorship of a Christmas party for local children in foster care and finally we raise money to send several local junior high students to Rotary Youth Leadership Academy in Estes Park, CO.    All of our projects reflect this year’s Rotary theme and aid Sunrise Rotarian’s of becoming gifts to the world."
