Welcome back to a new year, Rotarians! Last Tuesday (Jan. 8) we had a great meeting full of discussion and goals for the new year and a wrap up of Thankful Thursday’s fundraising.
Thankful Thursday was a huge success and several organizations will benefit from the hard work. Unaccompanied Youth and Ruby’s Adaptive Dance will receive their checks soon.
Ideas for the new year include: Sunrise Rotary’s own children book is being written by Justin and Roxanne, a suggested “Buddy Bench” for a school playground, Giving from the Heart, additional chemo bags, historical trail marker for the Goodnight and Loving Trail. All projects to give back to the community through service.
Ending the meeting, Roxanne tempted us with prizes to complete an informational trivia test. Justin won but we all learned....sneaky Roxanne.
