Pete Cautili, the new Athletic Director of Laramie County Community College spoke to the club Sept. 24 about his vision for student athletes and the facilities.  Student athletes are currently maintaining an average of 3.0 gpa and Pete said it is the goal of the athletic department to always remember they are students and athletes and getting their education is very important whether they go on to play for a four year college or continue their education.

Pete also spoke of the facility overcrowding and that future plans would be to expand the PE facilities to bring more possibilities to our students.  As always, his additional charge as AD would be fundraising to support the athletic mission.  His number one goal is scholarships.  All funds raised through the Booster Club this year will be used to enhance scholarship support for athletes.

Unfortunately he spoke to a very small crowd with only 44% of club members in attendance.
