One of CSR President Brenda Laird's projects is to collect coins from piggy banks she gave to each member, with the collected money going to various club projects. She gave out the small (3") plastic piggy banks at a meeting and asked each member to return them with their spare change when they could.

Meanwhile, club member Paul Howard had been collecting coins on his own in a very large ceramic piggy bank his wife, Beth, had been urging him to throw out for years. He decided it was time to donate the whole thing to the CSR effort, and brought it to the Oct. 27 meeting, prompting President Brenda to ask for help in carting the heavy object out.

Thanks to Paul and to all our members who give not only their spare change but their time and their talents to make our part of the world a better place.
